Why Every Woman should Honour Her Yoni

Honouring Our Yoni:
A One-to-One, Professional Development Immersion
for Women Who Hold Others

There comes a point in a woman's professional life where more techniques are not the answer.

You already hold people. You are the one others come to. You are already responsible, capable and deeply committed to your work. But something in you is asking for a different kind of development. Not more theory. Not more pressure to perform. Not more ways to override your own body in order to stay strong for everyone else. Something that resourced you.

This is where this day begins.

I have worked for twenty seven years as a therapist and transformative coach, accompanying people through trauma, crisis, complexity, growth, grief, change and profound becoming. The intuitive painting studio is not separate from that work. It is the most distilled and integrated expression of it.

When you walk into the studio in South West Scotland you are not entering an art workshop. You are entering a space that has been built with the same care, attunement and professional depth that I have brought to nearly three decades of one to one work. A space where nothing needs to be performed. A space where you do not have to be the strong one. A space where you are met as a capable, sovereign, experienced woman rather than as a problem to be fixed.

Many of the women who come are therapists, coaches, trainers, space holders, leaders, artists, carers and women in potent positions within health and education. They are used to being the regulated one in the room. What they rarely receive is unhurried time, beauty that soothes the nervous system, and a space where their own unconscious material can emerge safely without anyone needing anything from them.

This is professional development at the level of the nervous system, instinct and embodied authority. It is not something you learn and then apply. It is something that changes the way you are in the room.

Painting allows access to parts of us that do not yet have language. Through colour, texture, movement and symbol, what has been held in the body for years can begin to show itself gently and safely. There is no analysis imposed and no interpretation that takes your authority away from you. You are supported to trust your own knowing. That strengthens the most important capacity any practitioner or leader can have, which is self trust.

Painting our yoni on a large canvas is not about creating an image of a body part. It is a way of restoring relationship with the centre of instinct, boundary, creativity and self-trust that many women have had to override in order to function and succeed. When this part of the self is approached symbolically rather than anatomically, it allows power, grief, desire, clarity and intuition to emerge in a form that can be seen, held and integrated. Women leave with a deeper sense of internal authority, clearer limits, more access to their creative life force and a felt experience of being rooted in themselves rather than performing from the outside.

Honouring Our Yoni is a day that turns towards our relationship with the deepest centre of our instinct, creativity, sexuality, power and intuition. We approach this as mature women. Nothing is sensationalised and nothing is pathologised. There is no collapse into fragility and no bypassing. For many professional women this part of the self has been managed, overridden or kept invisible in order to function in the world. Yet it is also the source of clarity, boundaries, creative life force, grounded authority and deep presence. When this part of us is honoured our work in the world changes. We do not burn out in the same way. We do not over give in the same way. We do not abandon ourselves in the name of being professional. Our leadership becomes embodied rather than effortful.

For some women this work touches places where their sexuality has been shaped, silenced, shamed, celebrated, harmed or simply never given space to exist. If experiences, memories or questions from your own life want to be included in your process they are welcome, and they will be met with steadiness, respect and professional care. Nothing is required to be spoken or shared. You remain in choice and in authority over what you bring, how you work and what you keep for yourself.

Everything in the studio is intentional. The abundance of materials, the quality of the paints and papers, the velvet armchair, my altar, the space to spread out and breathe are all part of the holding. This is not decoration. It is nervous system regulation. It is a lived experience of worth. It is the opposite of the scarcity and compression many women are living inside.

Women do not leave with a 'nice' painting. They leave with a quieter, stronger nervous system, clearer internal authority, greater emotional range, more access to instinct and intuition, and the lived experience of being held without being managed. That changes how they practise, how they lead, how they create and how they live.  And yes, you will take home your painting too and I imagine you will hang it in your bedroom or even your hallway.

This day is for women who are already experienced in their fields, who hold others and want to be resourced at the same level that they give, who are no longer interested in surface development and who are ready for the next phase of their embodied professional authority.

It is a one day, in person immersion in my studio in South West Scotland. All materials are provided and are of the highest quality so that you can work with freedom and depth. The day is spacious and unhurried, with refreshments included and time to settle, paint, reflect and integrate. No previous art experience is needed. In fact, coming without fixed ideas about art often allows the deepest and most surprising process to unfold.

This day can be counted as 6 hours continuing professional development for those in therapeutic, coaching and educational roles.

It is held in love. Not a sentimental or boundaryless love, but a grounded and steady love that allows courage.

If you feel the pull, you are very welcome.  Simply reach out on WhatsApp 07876222790 or email: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
