Without thinking too much about this, just take some nice deep breaths to relax and go with your gut instinct, your intuition and select pens, crayons or paints - whatever feels right to you and start to create some roots for your tree. As you will see in my video below, I create my roots using an Oil Pastel. You can't ‘know’ what your Roots will look like until they emerge on paper or canvas. Let them surprise you!
I'd like to invite you to Not plan what kind of roots you have... just do it, in the moment as you did with your Background.
Be kind and gentle with your amazing Self during this process. Turning off our Thinking is not easy for everyone. As we are growing up, 'thinking' is valued by parents/teachers/society in general and so as we grow up, we try hard to develop thinking/cognitive skills to Please Others rather than Being or developing our instinct and inner wisdom that I believe we are all born with.
As your roots emerge, accept them as they are... Just let them be, without judgement, without criticism...
Take your time as you allow your roots to emerge in their own unique way.
TIME FOR REFLECTION
As you can hear on video, as I create my Roots I talk about my Grandmother who is very deeply embedded in my Roots. The colour of my roots remind me of her. As they emerge memories come to mind of my love for her and my confidence grows as I draw. My Gran gave me great confidence... and loved me very deeply.
As you are producing your Kind Of Tree painting, it is equally fine to simply create without delving into each part if you do not wish to. If you create Intuitively from your Gut you will be expressing from a deep part of you, to your self.
What you produce, will 'say' so much about who you are and you will 'get' this at that unspoken level.
Going through the process of creating and connecting with your picture can be enough to make a strong connection or shift (change) take place. It is as if your picture and your Self have an unspoken dialogue.
Something unconsciously - automatically - happens deep within. Words are not needed.
