'Self Care' - we hear these words so often and they seem to imply something important, but for most of us, we don't really understand what Self Care actually is.
For some of us we know the importance of Self Care because we experienced the terror of Burn Out.
Burn Out robs us of our energy, our interest in life. We can simply function at a very basic level. We can breathe, we can see, we can hear, we can just about hobble to the Loo, but getting a shower and dressed could take hours to muster up the energy needed and then we have to lie down to recover.
This sounds dramatic however, this is the reality of Burn Out and why we need to put Self Care in place to avoid burning out.
Your Mind may often feel crammed to capacity with work and family problems or the Needs of Others. Being the 'Strong' one who is leaned upon heavily may be a familiar and long-standing Role you have had, possibly since childhood.
You may now find yourself as a Nurse Practitioner, Teaching Professional, Counsellor, Art Therapist, Social Worker, be a Parent or a Carer.
But where do sturdy, caring, giving Helpers go when in need support?
I have considerable experience both within NHS and Private Practice offering Self Care Coaching in person in Gretna, online via Zoom or through Intuitive Art online courses.
Each session lasts 60 minutes and you can be sure I will help you quickly figure out what it is that will help You to put Self Care in place and ease your overwhelm and nervous system.
Zoom offers an online secure way to work wherever you are based in the world and we can work around your busy life.
You can book a 60 minute session as a one-off, or we can meet weekly, fortnightly or monthly to suit you.
Daytimes, Evenings, Weekend appointments are available. Each 60 minute session is £50 which can be paid via paypal, cash (in person) or bank transfer.
